One of our GP’s, Dr Javadi, has a special interest in skin cancer medicine and performs comprehensive skin checks using our “mole-scan” machine. All suspicious moles and lumps are biopsied and those identified as malignant are then surgically removed. All performed in-house and “bulk-billed*” .
Dr Javadi is Skin Cancer College Accredited which means he has successfully completed high level training with the Skin Cancer College Australasia and has proven skills and knowledge in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer.

Queensland has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world. Two in three Australians will develop skin cancer in their life. The good news is it can be prevented. Most skin cancers can be treated if they are detected early.

Steps you can take to prevent skin cancer are:
